Cossack Pineapple

Physalis pruinosa

Low-growing plants that yield massive amounts of delicious sweet orange/yellow fruits encased in a papery husk. Harvest throughout the summer when the husks turn brown and the fruits fall to the ground. A great garden snack, kids (and adults) love them, or use in fruit salads, preserves, desserts, salsa, and other dishes to give a tasty pineapple flavour. High in antioxidants and beta Carotene. Easy to grow outdoors or in a greenhouse.
