Asparagus officinalis

Notoriously hardy, long standing perennial whose spring shoots make for the delicious spring vegetable treat. Beautiful feathery foliage, often used in flowering arrangements, grows 3 to 4 feet and blooms with multiple small yellow bell shaped flowers which give rise to bright red berries. When growing from seed pot up seedlings and over winter in pots, planting out in prepared beds the following Spring.
