Verbascum thapsus

A biennial flower with medicinal uses. Grows even in poor rocky soils. Drought tolerant. In the first year it grows as a rosette of fuzzy leaves close to the ground 1-2 ft in diameter. In the second year it sends up sturdy flower stalks up to 8ft+ tall covered in yellow flowers. Will self seed, especially if bare ground is nearby.
