Lathyrus odoratus

Castlewellan is likely the dreamiest, most romantic sweet pea we've ever grown. Beautiful warm blush-toned blooms flower prolifically. Long strong stems make this an excellent cut flower and will keep producing the more you harvest. It's scented too!

Sow early (February to early April) for best stem length and longest harvest season. Blooms in the spring. Support plants with a trellis and deadhead regularly to maintain prolific blooms. Protect seedlings from rodents and slugs.

Growing instructions

Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Or direct sow in early spring while the soil is still cool. Sow seeds 1cm deep, germination should occur in 10-20 days. Full sun. Plants require a trellis or some sort of support for best growth.
