Ceres is a rare bearded bread wheat developed in 1918 by the North Dakota Experimental Station from a Marquis × Kota cross. It matures a bit earlier than Marquis and offers heavier yields, making it a dependable, high-performing choice for bread wheat growers.

Growing instructions

Direct sow outdoors 6-8 weeks before the first frost. Germinated seeds lay dormant in frosty soil, and burst up in the spring. Sow 2cm deep in full sun to partial shade. Winter wheat will overwinter.
